Common questions
Where are my trips saved?
On your iPhone. There's no account, and Bagdrop never sends your trips anywhere. They're included in your iPhone's iCloud Backup or computer backup, if you have backups turned on.
How do I keep a copy of my trips?
Tap the chart button at the bottom left, choose Settings, then tap Export Trips. Save the file to Files, or send it to yourself. It includes every trip, bag, item and checklist.
How do I bring trips back from a file?
In the same Settings screen, tap Import Trips and choose the file. Its trips are added to your list. Trips you already have are skipped, so importing a file twice won't create duplicates.
I'm getting a new iPhone. Will my trips come with me?
Yes, if you set up the new iPhone from your old one (Quick Start) or from an iCloud or computer backup. If you set it up as a new iPhone, your trips won't come across on their own: use Export Trips on the old iPhone, then Import Trips on the new one.
I see "Couldn't Open Your Trips"
Please don't delete Bagdrop. Your trips are still saved on your iPhone, but deleting the app would erase them. Tap Try Again first. If you still see the message, tap Export Data for Support and email me the file. I'll help you get your trips back.
I see "Couldn't Save Your Change"
Your iPhone is probably out of storage. Free up some space in Settings › General › iPhone Storage, then keep going. Keep Bagdrop open until you've freed space, or your latest changes could be lost.
Why don't I see the weather for my trip?
Weather needs both a destination and dates. Long press the trip and choose Edit to add them. Trips in the next 10 days show the forecast. Trips further out show the typical weather for those dates. Your iPhone also needs an internet connection.
How do I archive, edit or duplicate a trip?
Long press the trip in your list. Archived trips move to Archived Trips, and you can unarchive them from the same menu.
I deleted something by mistake
Right after deleting, tap Undo at the bottom of the screen. You have a few seconds. After that, the deletion is permanent.
Privacy
Bagdrop doesn't collect or track anything. Read the privacy policy.
