Bagdrop

Privacy Policy

Last updated September 24, 2026

The short version: Bagdrop doesn't collect your data. There's no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Your trips are saved on your iPhone, and the developer can't see them.

This policy covers the Bagdrop app for iPhone, made by Luke Scarpino ("I", "me"). If you have a question about it, email lukescarpinobrand@gmail.com.

What Bagdrop stores, and where

Everything you enter in Bagdrop stays on your iPhone. That includes trip names, dates and destinations, bags, items, checklists and notes. It's never sent to me or to any server I run. I don't run any servers for Bagdrop.

If you use iCloud Backup or back up your iPhone to a computer, your Bagdrop data is included in that backup like the rest of your iPhone. Apple handles those backups under Apple's Privacy Policy, and you control them in your iPhone's settings.

Apple services the app uses

A few features use Apple services, which get only what they need to work:

Bagdrop never asks for or uses your iPhone's own location. These requests go straight from your iPhone to Apple and are covered by Apple's Privacy Policy. I don't receive any of them.

Exports and imports

Bagdrop can save your trips as a file (Settings › Export Trips). If it can't open your data, it can also save a copy of the raw data files (Export Data for Support). Both are made only when you ask, and they go only where you send them, such as the Files app, AirDrop or email.

If you send an export to me for help, I'll use it only to fix your problem, and I'll delete it once the problem is solved.

Import Trips reads only the file you choose, and adds its trips to Bagdrop on your iPhone.

When you contact me

If you email me, I'll use your email address and what you send only to reply to you. I won't share it or add you to a mailing list.

What Bagdrop doesn't do

Deleting your data

You can delete any trip, bag or item in the app. Deleting Bagdrop from your iPhone deletes all of its data. Copies may stay in backups you made earlier until those backups are replaced or deleted.

Children

Bagdrop doesn't collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. If Bagdrop ever starts collecting data, this policy will say so before the app does.
